The Damascus Road Prison and Community Programme is a 12 week course, devised and delivered by Bringing Hope, that has been proven to change the hearts and minds of those involved in high risk crime with links to criminal networks.

It is based on the on the journey of St Paul, found in Acts 9,  who was converted from an angry and violent mind to one of peace.  Our programme addresses the thinking, attitudes and behaviour to enhance their potential to make positive life choices and inevitably, reduce the chances of re-offending.

We deliver the course within a prison, but before we begin, we spend months identifying the men who would benefit from the programme and preparing them through one-to-one time.  We visit them one they have completed the course to help them consolidate the changes they have experienced.

We also work with families, guiding them though the challenges of having a loved one who has served or is still serving their sentence and equipping then with a positive social network to help sustain the rehabilitation of their loved one when released.
