Toolkit of Hope

Committed to equipping and supporting Church leaders to address the issues of guns, drugs and gangs, Bringing Hope will be launching its long awaited toolkit in May 2006 - two years after the pioneering event which affirmed the necessity of Church engagement in the community.

The aim of the toolkit is to raise awareness of the issues and to challenge the church and other institutions to take ownership of the problems of brokenness and fragmentation amongst young people, their families and the community.

The sections include outlines on how to be involved in this work and study tools based on the Christian ethos for reflection and prayer on the issues. Chapters are also written to engage and equip individuals of all sectors from faith group leaders to the managers and chief executives of statutory agencies.

Following the publication, Bringing Hope will be announcing opportunities for people to sign up to workshops and seminars to unpack much of the information provided in the toolkit. This will be part of their agenda to have a bank of influential leaders and their adherents in Birmingham who are relevant, ready and equipped to respond to the needs in the community with a view to reducing crime and transforming lives for the better.

You can view an extract from the Toolkit in the website's Resource Library.
