Bringing Hope Launches Website

Bringing Hope is proud to launch its website which is designed to inform and guide those wanting to combat issues of guns, drugs, knives, gangs and its underlying causes.

Established in 2004 the project works to coordinate and mobilise a church response to the challenges that have attracted media attention to the inner city and inflamed fear in communities across Birmingham.

Project Coordinator Nicola Linton works alongside the project’s Consortium group to develop a plan to engage churches and build partnerships to deliver this work.

She says “Bringing Hope is not just another project but a movement to address the social exclusion and disaffectedness that often precipitates involvement in illegal and harmful activity. This website serves to be a point of information and a point of hope for all those who want to help but don’t know how and for those entrenched in this lifestyle who do not see a way out”

Features of this website include a resource page with contact details of key organisations and agencies working with people considered disaffected or ‘hard to access’, a prayer page and a breakdown of how different groups and people can respond to guns, drugs and gangs.
