About Us

What is Bringing Hope?

Bringing Hope is a Christian based charitable company seeking to alleviate the suffering, disaffection and consequences of people living in circumstances considered as hopeless and despairing. Our vision and aims are as below:

Vision

To see positive and sustainable transformation and reformation through Gods love, action and word for those who are broken, marginalised and where hopelessness is a way of life and thinking.

Aims
  • To support and help alleviate the challenges of vulnerable individuals and groups particularly those whose lives are caught in a continual cycle of hopelessness.
  • To work in partnership with statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations and charities who are seeking to alleviate and improve the life chances of those affected by a lack of real life changing opportunities
We are influenced and guided by our Christian ethos, values and core principles that we belive can make a positive difference to peoples lives. Our beliefs maintain that all people are equal in the sight of God and therefore we work with all individuals and groups irrespective of their backgrounds, faith, personal circumstances and philosophies.

What does Bringing Hope do?

Bringing Hope has existed as a ministry and service for four years working to raise awareness and build the capacity of churches to reach the unreachable.

We have encouraged government agencies to work with churches to address these challenges and we have been a part of the struggle on the streets to demonstrate the love and compassion of God to young people and families particularly those directly and indirectly affected by gang lifestyles and violent crime involving knives and guns.

We are here for the long-term to do the following:
  • Support and develop the capacity of the faith, public, private and voluntary community sector to address the symptomatic issues of people who are in conditions of need, particularly those who are affected directly or indirectly by gangs and through the misuse of drugs, guns and knives.
  • Promote and support work with young people deterring them from the above lifestyle
  • Facilitate joint working between churches and other agencies to improve the quality of life for children, young people, adults and communities as a whole.

In January 2008 we became a registered charity demonstrating our commitment to support, equip and pray with action as advocates of hope, working with other like-minded people to rebuild the broken walls of individuals and cities across the country.
